The Challenge.
We were brought in after a digital wealth management platform became unreliable following multiple rounds of development by different contributors. Core business workflows had stopped functioning consistently. Administrative controls were disconnected from the client-facing systems. Some screens looked complete but weren't actually wired up underneath — a quiet but serious operational risk. The client faced three options: abandon the project, start over from scratch, or attempt a full recovery. We were retained to find out which was actually necessary.
The Discovery Phase.
Before any recovery work began, we ran a full platform audit — mapping every workflow, checking whether admin controls actually enforced what they appeared to, and tracing transactions through the system end to end. This is what surfaced the real problem: the platform didn't have one dramatic failure, it had several small, disconnected ones, each invisible until traced carefully.

Implementation.

Mobile functionality — which had looked like a separate problem — turned out to be a symptom of the same underlying issues, and improved once the platform itself was fixed. Most importantly, the client avoided a full rebuild: a significant part of the existing platform was preserved, cutting both the cost and the timeline a from-scratch rebuild would have required.
Lessons Learned.
The clearest lesson was that a platform can look completely finished while quietly failing underneath — which is exactly why a proper assessment has to trace actual workflows end-to-end rather than just checking that screens load and buttons respond.
